Hi @msshelly84. I recommend botox to help relax the winkles you have on your forehead. In addition, I recommend tear trough fillers. Restylane and Belotero work great. Always seek treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck,Dr. Nima
A combination approach will give the most improvement. These fillers (belotero, volbella, restylane silk) are good for under the eye. Botox, fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes and forehead. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for your short and long term goals. Best, Dr. Emer
Remember forehead creases are from years of using the frontalis muscle. These wrinkles are creases like a scratch in a piece of glass. We like Dysport instead of Botox because its action is faster and it lasts longer than Botox (cheaper to). This will soften the creases. What I suggest to help the wrinkles go away is microneedling with or without PRP(platelet rich plasma). Standard fillers in the forehead will look lumpy. Check this out. We also like PRP treatments under the eyes. Its natural and longer lasting than fillers. JB
Dear msshelly84,based on your photo, you might consider a combination of Botox and dermal fillers. Botox is generally an on off switch for muscle activity. I get a fair amount of actors/actresses in my practice that are looking to reduce wrinkles but keep some expression. Finding an experienced physician injector is your best bet.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
A combination of botox and dermal filler can definitely improve your areas of concern. Remember that for any treatment you should always be offered FDA-approved options by a physician that can best recommend the treatment according to your specific concerns. Make sure to discuss a good skin care regimen as well for protection and prevention of facial lines. Best,
Thanks for sharing your photo and question. My go to filler for the undereyes in Restylane and I inject it using a microcannula to minimize bruising and swelling. As for the forehead lines, they would respond best to a neuromodulator such as Botox or Dysport combined with a soft gel hyaluronic acid based dermal filler such as Restylane Silk, Juvederm Volbella or Belotero as needed. For the forehead lines, I would start with the neuromodulator (Botox or Dysport) first and then if "etched in lines" still remain, I would consider treating them with a filler or skin resurfacing procedures such as a laser, microneedling, or chemical peel. I would also add sun protection and an antioxidant to your AM skincare regimen and a retinol to your PM routine.
In the forehead area you would want a neurtoxin such as Botox, Dysport or Xeomin. These products will stop the action of the muscle movement causing the creases. As for the under eye area, the fillers I would suggest would be a product of Juvederm and/or Restylane and will help improve the area for about a year. Voluma will last about 2 years and is made by the same manufacturers of Juvederm.
Conservative Botox injections would help to soften the lines. The problem with the forehead is that too much Botox can make the brows droop. So it is better to use a lower dose, add more later if needed, and keep some expression and ability to raise the brows. For residual etched-in lines, my favorite filler is Belotero injected very superficially. Belotero integrates very well into the skin and patients love the results. The downside is that superficial filler does not last as long and needs to be repeated over time. Make sure to see an experienced injector who will individualize your treatment and who will see you back to finesse treatment for best results.Regards,Dr. Ort
Hello,In my practice I have patients with similar presentations almost every day.Your forehead lines shows quite remarkable lines and I presume you are very expressive person. Using the glabella and forehead muscles would end up creating lines as your photo shows but the key issue is that in some it is more apparent than some others.Forehead deep lines: Fillers can do good job in fading them away in some degrees. Belotero and Restylane silk and vobella would be preferred. But if your muscles are super active then the fillers can not do anything. It would not be beneficial. My recommendations: REGULAR Botox (is a must) to relax muscles. Then, next step, plan for improving skin collagen by Fraxel, PRP and microneedling. further specific recommendations would rely on face to face consultation.Under eye filler:Yes filler do good job. considering the photo doesn't show the cheek bones as much then evaluation fo mid face during consultation can definitely help to be more specific on this one too.All the Best.Ray Bayati, MDSacramento Area, California
Hello and thanks for posting. The use of facial fillers for forehead rejuvenation is one of the most impactful strategies for facial rejuvenation. The technique is best performed with microcannulas and when properly done, results in fewer wrinkles, elevation of the lower brow complex, and a more youthful overall appearance. My favorite filler for this region is Vollure 50/50 blend. This filler is actually my favored agent for treating under eye volume loss as well. Good luck!
Hi @aShortOne. You would be a great candidate for tear trough fillers. Restylane and Belotero work great. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of...
Filler for the temple area is a great option. As we aged,we lose fat, muscle and bone so our faces start becoming more like a skull, specially if you are thin. HA fillers are a fantastic option as long as they are injected deep. Voluma,Vollure and Restalyne Lyft are all great options.
Facial asymmetry and volume loss can be corrected with dermal fillers. You have a descent amount of volume loss in the midface/cheeks which could be corrected using a collagen stimulating filler, Sculptra.
