What could this dent on my stomach be after liposuction? PS says I wasn't consistent with massages. (photos)

Question

I had liposculpture in TJ November 2017and paid $4500. Fat was taken from my arms back stomach flanks and outer thigh (i look the same but with a bigger butt which i hate because i wanted butt fat taken out). i was not satisfied with my results. There is a dent on my stomach since day 1and the dr said its because I wasn't consistent with massages. Is this true? She want to charge to fix. The skin is scared and stuck to the bottom layer of skin. I hate this I feel worse than before. Thanks you

You will need a revision procedure to make this better.  If you are unhappy with your results please speak to your physician and ensure he was a full body VASER HD liposuction physciain wtih expensive experience in body shaping and not just traditional fat reduction.  At this point you should be using compression, RF treatments like venus legacy / exilis ultra / inmode forma or contoura and lymphatic massage to get you through healing.   We always add shock wave therapy such as cellutone, z wave, and eclipse evive to help prvent scar tissue formation and ensure an even and smooth result. It will take 6-12 months to see the final outcome.   If you are unhappy you can get a revision procedure by an expert in VASER HD lipo.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Dear Dc040607,I would have to examine you but it appears that this is a contour irregularity after liposuction.  This happens often when areas the undergo liposuction are not feathered appropriately.
The good news is that it can be fixed and I have done so with good results before. The revision can often be done under local as well.While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result.I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result.Daniel Barrett, MD

Thanks for writing,I am assuming TJ is Tijuana Mexico. Unfortunately I have seen many patients over the years that have had off site surgery, Mexico and other countries, and they cannot be sure who is operating on them, what their trading was and are they truly Board Certified. So it becomes a crap shoot.I would find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who does a lot of this surgical correction. Possibly get a few opinions and choose the one you feel can offer you what he / she feels is a reasonable improvement without promising the moon. Good LuckStephen M. i don't believe that it is due to your not doing enough massage. i would add though, you did not pay all that much considering how many areas you had treated. Smartlipo would be a great choice to improve this. aim for an improvement and not perfection. remember, too, any type of liposuction, is going to get better results, if you modify your diet to decrease your total body fat, as the liposuction reduces fat in specific areas
