For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
Your forehead depression can be made much better by a brow bone reduction. Fillers in the depression often leads to irregularities and bumps and must be repeated. If we make the “mountain (brow bone) smaller, the Valley (depression) will appear much smaller”. This is done by using the Irregular Trichophytic Forehead Incision which I co-developed. Hair grows thru the Incision so the scar is not seen. You can return to work in a week. I’ve done more than a thousand of these and have never had to revise an Incision. I do this operation for men, women and TG patients.
Thanks for sharing your photos. This is a relatively easy thing to correct with the use of volumising dermal fillers spread evenly through your skin with injection cannulas. It’s a relatively quick procedure done in an office taking less than half an hour. It’s important to come back for a massage on the following day to ensure the filler settles correctly, and it can produce a smoother forehead.
I think a combination of Botox or Dysport and a filler like Restylane would help address your concerns about your forehead.
We commonly see in our practice patients presenting with forehead depressions, bony irregularities or asymmetries. Filler injections are quite effective and long lasting in that region but product choice and tissue placement is of paramount importance to have smooth results. Our products of choice for that region are Teosyal RHA 2 and Juvederm Volift. Average duration is 18 to 24 months but last even longer in other patients. Combination with a neuromodulator such as Botox, Dysport or Xeomin may improve quality of results and duration as well. Good luck and best regards.
Dear night973, Thank you for your question, this depression we are seeing more often now especially for the patients who have been using botox for long time, as the forehead muscle is under used, it reduces in size, we usually replace that with dermal filler very easily and it gives a subtle natural results which, depends on the filler, could last up to 2 years, I usually use a cannula to inject as its much safer in this area, its not the easiest injection so choosing a doctor who has the good experience is very important.I hope this helps, I wish you all the best!Dr Sherif Wakil
The discoloration your experiencing is most likely residual bruising, and it should continue to improve. I have not seen the Tyndall effect occur at the nasolabial fold, but it is possible. My suggestion is that you should be evaluated by an expert nurse injector or physician, so the...
Most likely this result is due to improperly placed filler causing increased prominence of the fat pad and/or blockage of lymphatic drainage in this area causing fluid to accumulate. Sometimes it can take several treatments with hyaluronidase to dissolve completely and get back to your ...
Adding a little filler in the outer 1/4 of the lower lip on both sides will help a lot in making a sad mouth look better. It makes the lower lip bigger looking so the over-sized upper lip will be more proportionate.
