How to get rid of c-section shelf without a tummy tuck? (Photos)

C-section shelf or excess tissue above the scar is fairly common.
Liposuction can remove excess fat above c-section scars in appropriate candidates. Examination with a plastic surgeon will help determine if the excess fat is causing the c-section shelf or if it is muscle separation.
Keloids can be addressed with topicals and injections.

I would revise the c-section scar and at the same time perform liposuction that will take care of the fullness between the umbilicus and pubic region.

this can be improved with fat reduction liposuction and internal heating. the scar itself needs lasers, steroid injections, and skincare like vivatia (see link). Best, Dr. Emer.

It is very likely, based on these photos, that you may have quite satisfactory result with liposuction. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with known expertise in body contouring is recommended. Good luck.

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

You can do liposuction to remove the excess fat and use radiofrequency, like ThermiTight, to help tighten the skin.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photos, liposuction and a scar revision may be a good option for you. Because you do keloid, that still may be and issue going forward. A scar revision may minimize that appearance. I suggest speaking with a board certified plastic surgeon to address your concerns.

From your photos it appears you would have nice improvement from liposuction to the area that concerns you. Scar revision can also be performed to help to minimize your scar. Therapies such as Embrace Scar Therapy System can also be used to help promote favorable scarring.

Thank you for posting your photos with your interesting question. Liposuction of abdomen with Kenalog steroid injections into your hypertrophic C section scar would give you a very nice result.
