Ive a fat deposit on my upper back, a "buffalo hump", I find it extremely annoying and would love to get rid of it, what is the best approach? would non-surgical treatments work? or would liposuction be a better idea? if so, how much would it cost to get this part lipoed? Thank you!

Answer: Treatment of dorsal cervical fat pad Liposuction is by far the best option. They are responds well to the treatment and is easily done under local anesthesia as an office-based procedure. If done in the office you may be able to get this done for $2000-$3000. If done in a formal operating room with an anesthesiologist expect to pay an additional $2000 to $3000. Prices vary based on geographic location and who does the procedure. Find someone who has a proven track record of doing this procedure in the past with evidence of good results from having several before and after pictures. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
