How long for Restylane Defyne to show the final result?

I appreciate your concern, but I recommend waiting two weeks to see how your results look at that point. It typically takes Defyne that long to achieve the full outcome. If you are unhappy at that time, a follow-up with your doctor is a good idea. Always choose an injector who has the experience and expertise to produce the best possible result for you.

Thank you for your question. Try not to judge results this soon after the procedure has been done. Allow up to 2 weeks for results to settle. At that point, you should follow up with the injector if you are still unhappy. 

Restalyne Defyne and other HA fillers take about 2 weeks to settle and look even better than when first injected.  I would recommend that you wait the 2 weeks and at that point meet wt your injector to review your before and after pictures and create a plan.  You may need a little more product added, keeping in mind that one syringe of filler is only a teaspoon.Hope this answer is helpful to you.

Without  knowledge of your physicians technique, It is difficult to evaluate your concern, I strongly advise you to seek a follow-up with your prior injector. Swelling is normal at first 3 days after injection which would subside. Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  Typically it is best to allow your filler results to mature for at least two weeks so that swelling can resolve and the filler can soften appropriately. If at that time you see little improvement, you can have the filler dissolved to restore your previous appearance.  Hope this helps.

I have been injecting fillers and volumizing fillers for over thirty years, since the early days with the original injectable Zyderm and Zyplast collagen products. One of the great satisfactions, for both patient and physician, is that the results of treatment are immediate and when properly performed typically yield an immediate "Wow!" reaction. Yes, within a few hours to a day later, there may be some temporary bruising, swelling, tenderness, redness, and itching, but immediately after treatment, before these temporary side effects set in, one is able to see the ultimate result. So, what you see now, a month later if I understand your question, is likely the final result of the treatment, and it would be prudent to return to your injector to discuss how best to proceed. As a side note, for some time now, experienced injectors avoid "chasing after lines and folds,' i.e. merely injecting directly into smile lines and marionette lines, etc., but instead address the underlying volume losses and changes that are responsible for the secondary development of these lines and folds. For example, we have known for some time that loss of volume in the upper cheek (in particular) and mid-cheek regions is responsible for the deepening of smile lines, marionette lines and even jowls along the jawline. So, these days, instead of directly injecting into the smile lines and marionette lines, as it sounds like was done in this case, re-suspension of the cheek with volumizing filler is often done first. By not injecting the lines themselves, we avoid the possibility of simply pushing up against the line or fold and actually creating an unsightly ridge to the side of the lines, which in fact can make the folds appear even deeper. Final results of Defyne take about 7-10 days. I wouldn't hang your hat on these before and afters. The lighting is different and minor changes in expression can exacerbate the marionettes. Supplementing the injections with Dysport to the DAOs might be helpful. Also, placement of filler in the preauricular area and in the jawline - reJAWvenation(TM) will help pull some of the heaviness away from the marionette area. Placing too much filler in the marionettes makes the lower face too wide in females and is not a good look.

Almost looks as if the picture on the left (!) is the post injection result. If that's case then you look well. If not then you need to revisit your provider and perhaps have some additional touch up treatments or perhaps dissolve some in unwanted areas.

I would give the filler a week for all of the swelling to be gone and if you are not happy with it at that point see your doctor or one that is experienced with fillers as I think that injections into other areas might help resolve your problem
