I read that breast cancer survivors should not take hylaronic acid never because it promotes cancer cells to grow that means Restylane should not be allowed for breast cancer survivors. Please help on this. i have also started to use Cleo by Daniva and also has hylatonic acid. Am I in great danger of growing cancer ? Thank you !

The human body makes its own hyaluronic acid. There is no scientific data supporting your statement about breast cancer survivors avoiding hyaluronic acid. There is data that suggests that metastatic breast cancer increases serum hyaluron levels and that this may be useful as a biomarker of cancer activity. But this is only investigational.   It has nothing to do with the cosmetic used of manmade hyaluronic acid fillers. Cleo is an external labial lubricant that uses hyaluronic acid among its ingredients. It does not cause cancer. Worry not.

There is no contraindication or plausible concern related to the use of hyaluronic acid-based fillers (e.g. Juvederm, Restylane) for anyone with any history of any type of cancer. Hyaluronic acid is a normal component of your skin, it is biocompatible with no cancer cell promotion.
