2 months post Restylane. I would like to know if my upper lip will go away anytime soon. (photos)

Hello and thank you for your question. Restylane takes 6-10 months to dissolve for most people. However, if you are unhappy with your results at this point, I suggest going back and seeing your injector to have him/her dissolve it with hyaluronidase.  If the person you see is non-responsive I suggest finding another injector. Restylane usually lasts 6-8 months but if you are unhappy with your results, you can have it dissolved with hyaluronidase Kenneth Hughes M.D

I'm sorry you're unhappy with your results. Since you're unhappy, you can have the filler dissolved. I recommend following up with your injector about your concerns. Hope this helps.

Hi, sorry to hear you are unhappy with your filler. There is an enzyme that helps dissolve fillers such as restylane: hyaluronidase. I would recommend consulting with a different doctor about correcting the filler you are unhappy with.

Thank you for sharing your question - It seems a lot of product was injected. Is this your 1st time? Typically for 1st timers, fillers will last 1 - 2 months ( depending how much is injected )You results should last 9 - 12 months if not less. You can always contact another physician and have the product dissolved with hyaluronidase.Best of luck,

Good morning and thank you for your message.  I'm interested to know how much filler was injected and how much of the picture is of your nature lip.  Yes, massaging your lips after injections can help smooth and soften the hard lumps you had mentioned.  However, I'm not sure if this helps 2 months out.  My best suggestion to you is having your injecting practitioner inject your lips with hyaluronidase conservatively to breakdown the filler material until you are satisfied with your results.  This product is potent so I suggest only an experienced practitioner do this.

Thank you for posting your question. Since it has been 2 months since your treatment, the volume of the upper lip will come down naturally over the next few months. If you are unhappy with the size and shape of the upper lip now, you can return to your injector to discuss dissolving the filler with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This enzyme works with 24 hours to dissolve the existing filler. Once swelling settles, you can repeat the lip filler procedure as long as you emphasize to your injector that you want a more natural result. If he/she is unable to provide you with your desired aesthetic, I recommend seeking a different injector who better understands your goals.
