Can I have rhinoplasty 1 week after lipo?

I had lipo one week ago and my hemoglibin was 14.90. Now I am scheduled to have a rhinoplasty tomorrow one week after with a hg level of 10.6. My doctor said I should be fine but requested blood Incase a blood transfusion is needed. Initially I wanted to have both procedures together but my doctor thought I would be best to do them separately because it was a pretty big lipo. Please let me know what you think thanks

You will need to take 1 week off work and then you have to be very cautious to not get hit in the nose for at least 4 weeks after. If you are able to perform modified duties during this time you will not ruin your surgical results.

Hair extensions, if only adhesive is used it's fine, but metals are dangerous. Metal can effect to the cautery used during surgery.  So you need to remove for your safety but please you let your surgeon know. Maybe he/she give an different advice for you. All the best.

This question can be easily answered by your own surgeon. It could be due to cartilage graft placed as a cap to the nasal tip or is a strut graft to support the tip.

The lower third of your nose will hold onto swelling for an entire year. The diagnosis of a 'polybeak' would require an examination. If you have residual supratip swelling, you can ask your surgeon whether a dilute steroid injection may be beneficial for you. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph
