Can I have rhinoplasty 1 week after lipo?

Question

I had lipo one week ago and my hemoglibin was 14.90. Now I am scheduled to have a rhinoplasty tomorrow one week after with a hg level of 10.6. My doctor said I should be fine but requested blood Incase a blood transfusion is needed. Initially I wanted to have both procedures together but my doctor thought I would be best to do them separately because it was a pretty big lipo. Please let me know what you think thanks

It is significant hemoglobin level drop after liposuction? I do not see reason why you could not have rhinoplasty with current hemoglobin level. In our practice no patient ever needed blood transfusion after rhinoplasty. Good luck.

When it comes to making a decision about this sort of things, I would alway decide on the safest choice. Rhinoplasty is an elective operation that can be done at any time. Wait till you are totally racovered from the massive liposuction before undergoing another surgery.

From the numbers presented, it appears that your mildly anemic, you may want to consider waiting a month or so to build up your blood count. If you should have a real nosebleed complication, this could be life-threatening

There is no reason to have these surgeries that close together and especially with a low hemoglobin.  My anesthesiologist would never accept an elective case under these circumstances. What’s the rush?
