Should I remove my microbead hair extensions before rhinoplasty?

Hair extensions, if only adhesive is used it's fine, but metals are dangerous. Metal can effect to the cautery used during surgery.  So you need to remove for your safety but please you let your surgeon know. Maybe he/she give an different advice for you. All the best.

In our practice, we would not ask that the hair extensions be removed, since they are not in the  sterile operative field. Best to check in with  your surgeon and surgery center about their requirements
