Why do I have a hard/sharp spot on the very end of my nose? (Photo)

I recently had a open rhinoplasty exactly 1 month ago. On the very end of my nose is a hard/sharp spot, it feels that hard it could pierce my skin. It is not red and does not hurt, when it’s cold it sometimes itches. This has been there since 1 week post op.

This question can be easily answered by your own surgeon. It could be due to cartilage graft placed as a cap to the nasal tip or is a strut graft to support the tip.

It is impossible to tell without an examination, but it is likely a piece of cartilage-- either your own, or grafted cartilage from the surgery.  I would recommend speaking with your surgeon to discuss your concerns.

Without in person evaluation it is impossible to say what that sharp edge is? Very likely it is nose tip cartilage (cartilage graft?). You should bring this to attention of your surgeon and discuss how to treat it. Good luck.
