How soon can I have a rhinoplasty consultation after dissolving filler?

I'm wondering how soon I can go in for a rhinoplasty consultation after having nose filler dissolved. I currently have my consultation booked about a week after my appointment for the filler dissolving. I'm worried this is not enough time between the two.

While hyaluronidase dissolves filler within 48 hours, we recommend having your pre-operative appointment no sooner than 1-2 weeks before surgery to give the filler more time to dissolve. A surgeon would want to properly assess the original structure of the nose to be able to recommend the best course of action to achieve your goals. This is why we aim to minimize all variables, including fillers. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with a strong rhinoplasty portfolio. Your surgeon can evaluate your nose, recommend the best timeline and surgical plan to address your concerns and goals, and help ensure the best possible outcome.

Time for consultation after dissolving filler is variable between doctors. An appointment a week later is a good idea to make sure swelling is going down an reevaluate the shape of your nose. As for time to surgery I would recommend waiting at least between 6 to 12 months.

Ideally, you should have nose surgery related consultation when your nose is in normal condition, without fillers or anything that will change your nose anatomy. Try to see rhinoplasty surgeon before having filler. You may not need it. Good luck.

How long does it take to dissolve filler? The enzyme Hyaluronidase, can dissolve hyaluronic acid fillers within 48 hours. Assuming that you have hyaluronic acid filler and the enzyme is administered in the appropriate location and in the appropriate amount, the filler should be gone within 48 hours, and the week you left between appointments should be more than enough.
