I'm around 9 weeks. I got 415 gummy silicone on 09/21/23 and although I'm loving the results so far, it seems my left breast is sagging or the nipple seems to be sitting lower than the right. I love the right side and I'm healing nicely scar wise but just wondering will this eventually correct itself or will I need a revision?

Answer: Breast surgery outcomes To make an assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we always need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures, then contact your surgeon and ask them to forward the pictures they took. Two months is a bit early to assess the final outcome of your procedure. It’s difficult to give you a good answer regarding each individual breast so if you have managed to flip the pictures. This makes it difficult to know which is the left or the right side. Most women, and in fact, all people tend to have breast asymmetry. The majority of people have a left breast. That’s it slightly higher on the chest wall than the right side. For most people, this discrepancy is typically about half an inch. If the nipple sits at the center of the breast, this means for most people, the left nipple should also said slightly higher compared to the right side, since the left breast sits higher on the chest wall on most people. There are obviously variations and this is not true for everyone. In your case, we don’t know which is the left or right side. Most plastic surgeons typically wait six months before making a final assessment or before discussing indications for revision surgery. Mastopexy augmentation combination surgery is somewhat complex, and this combined procedure does have a slightly higher revision rate than other plastic surgery operations. Continue following up with your provider and share your concerns with him or her. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
