I had a breast augmentation 2.5 years ago.Started as a 34aa, now a 34D with 595cc’s ultra high profile implants. Not wanting a lift or smaller implants. I’m currently only 21 years old, skin elasticity is pretty good. It really does feel as if I have gained more breast issue since my augmentation. Thoughts? I’m hoping to return to my natural state, I’d be satisfied if they were slightly saggy and drooped a little.
Answer: Will my results be okay after I explant? Without examining you it is difficult to be certain but based on the photos it looks like you should have a reasonable result after explantation. It is not likely that you will look the same as you did before surgery but the breasts will contract significantly over the 1st 12 months and will probably not be very saggy or deflated in the end. The only way to know for sure is to book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to see what your options are. Best of luck!

Answer: Explant Expectations Good morning!Yes I believe you will have a good result post-explant. I remove the capsules and implants, place a drain for five days, and have you wear a good compression bra 24/7 for three months. With this technique most patients go back to looking like they did before they ever got implants- without the need for a lift!

Answer: Will my results be okay after I explant? Thank you for the question. Generally speaking, what your breasts will look like after explantation depends on several factors such as: the quality of skin elasticity (the better the elasticity the better the skin will bounce back), the size of the implants used (the larger the implant the more trouble you may have with redundant skin), and the amount of breast tissue present at this time (which may have changed since the time of your breast augmentation). Life experience since your breast augmentation procedure, such as pregnancy or weight gain weight loss, will potentially influence the factors discussed above. If you take these factors into consideration and apply them to your specific circumstances you may get a good idea of what to expect after the implants are removed. In "borderline" cases where there is doubt whether breast lifting is necessary or not, I advise patients to undergo explantation only and to give their breasts the benefit of the doubt before deciding whether breast lifting would be beneficial. Patience is definitely indicated after removal of breast implants; it will take many months/year for the skin to “bounce back” and for you to see the final appearance of the breasts. In your case specifically my best advice: select your plastic surgeon very carefully. Ask him/her to show you examples of previous patients (demonstrating what he/she expects your breast to look like after breast implant removal and breast lifting surgery. Seeing these visual representations (of similar patients), will likely help you make an informed decision as to how to proceed. I hope this helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Implant removal Thank you for your question. You will definitely be left with looser skin. That is a significant size jump. I do not think that you will be happy with just removing the implants. I think you will require at least a lift to tighten the tissue, because it will be so stretched out.

Answer: Explant will require lift 595 cc implants are large and when they are removed you will have excess hanging skin. Most women who undergo explant alone are dissatisfied with the results. You can undergo explantation and if not satisfied, later have a breast lift, although it is less expensive and better to do both simultaneously.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
