Hello! I’ve been thinking about getting a NSNJ for a few years now and have a certain look I’d like to have. Selena Gomez has a cute, kinda puppy/button nose that also looks nice from side profiles, is this look possible with just a NSNJ? My nose also looks more hooked shaped when I smile, not sure if that would alter results. Also have heard some horror stories about hit nerves causing necrosis and other things, how often does this occur? Thanks much!
Answer: If you want your bridge lowered, you may be a better candidate for rhinoplasty surgery. Based on your front view, you appear to have an indentation along the left side wall of your nose. If this were the only thing that is bothering you, fillers could be considered for achieving a straighter nasal appearance on front view. Since you appear to have an overprojected nasal appearance on profile, I suspect you would be a better candidate for rhinoplasty surgery with profile the projection to achieve a less distracting and more feminine nasal appearance. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Liquid Rhinoplasty for Non-Surgical Nose Job Hello, and thank you for your question! More recently liquid rhinoplasty’s have been in high demand and it has been a popular topic. I asses each patient individually and what changes in their features would improve their aesthetics most. We find that most patients looking for a surgical rhinoplasty end up being a great candidate for a non-surgical rhinoplasty. I have developed a technique of using filler to balance the facial features, referred to as Aesthetic Facial Balancing. This technique that I have created allows patients to get similar results as a surgical rhinoplasty, but with very little recovery time (avoiding residual swelling that can last up to one year) and giving them instant results in less than 20 minutes, with results lasting for up to 6 years. I use a hyaluronic based filler that is extremely safe for patients, and most patients are a good candidate for a liquid rhinoplasty. I hope this helps! Wishing you fantastic results,Dr. Rian A. Maercks, M.D.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Your best option is a rhinoplasty. Fillers add volume and unless you would like to build up your radix (root of nose) with filler to camouflage the dorsal hump, it is better to reduce the dorsal hump with surgery. Also your tip cartilages can't be made more refined by adding fillers. This is more a reductive procedure.

Answer: Non-Surgical Nose Job Candidate -- with Fillers (Voluma, Restylane, Juvederm) I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (like Voluma, Restylane, Juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose, but surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. Best to see an expert. - Dr. Emer
