Had refyne restylane in lips 1.5 ml February 25, 2022. When do I need to get a top up to avoid waking up one day with all my filler gone.
Answer: Lip filler touch up Hello, and thank you for your question. Lip filler can last anywhere from 6 months to 1 year, sometimes longer. It depends on one’s metabolism of the product. Filler will deteriorate over time and not all disappear in one day. Most patients get a touch up once per year, but it also depends on the result you are looking for. If you like a more “filled” look, it may be more often. Ones that prefer natural results, may be longer between treatments. I would recommend scheduling a consult with a provider who specializes in dermal filler to evaluate your needs further.

Answer: Lip filler, Restylane, Refyne, ha filler, facial balancing, facial contouring Hyaluronic acid fillers generally last 6-12 months as people metabolize differently especially people who exercise heavily. General guidance for lip filler would be to do maintenance yearly. Refyne is is known to produce subtle/natural results. Next time you visit with your practitioner consult on other ha fillers that could produce a more robust result.

Answer: Lip Augmentation Hi @Original583209! This is a great question. Restylane Refyne typically lasts 12 months. I would recommend going in for a touch up at 6 months or so.

Answer: When should I follow up for lip fillers? Thank you for sharing your question. The follow up for lip fillers depends on your preference and the amount of filler injected. Roughly visits with your injector should be every 4 months if you want to maintain the exact results without having the filler dissolve. Good luck!

Answer: Filler volume Thank you for your question. This is a very common concern. I usually tell patients that injecting filler is like filling up the gas tank of a car. When you fill the tank, it will be full and then slowly decrease over time. Filler is very similar. So really it's up to you when you'd like to "fill up the tank" again. Some people prefer regular maintenance, while some prefer to wait for most of the filler to dissipate prior to another treatment. I hope this helps, and all the best to you. -Dr. P
