Hello. I had Fat grafting to the lips and face two weeks ago. Feeling fine & I'm starting to see me in the mirror. Lips are still quite puffy & swollen. When will this subside to a more normal appearance. I'm not made for duck lips. Lol!! I do have a great Doctor...just concerned. I go back to work in 2 days. Anything I can do? Thank you much.

Answer: Fat grafting to the lips - when will they look normal? Thank you for your question. In general it will take your body 4-6 weeks to resolve much of the swelling after fat grafting to the lips. Intermittent use of cold compresses may help speed improvement, as will sleeping with your head elevated with a few additional pillows placed behind your back. Hang in there!

Answer: Swelling of the lips after fat grafting. Thank you for a great question and for sharing your concerns. At two weeks it is normal to still have significant swelling, so try not to worry. You will notice a lot of ongoing improvement especially in the first 4-6 weeks. So, the good news is you are not doomed to duck lips...lol! I hope you find this helpful.
