Red Scabs Under Breast Fold, Should I Be Concerned?

Question

I've had breast implants for about 12 years. I've had two sets rupture, capsular contraction and bottoming out in my left implant. I've probably had maybe about 6 or 7 surgeries total. Last one in 2006. I have severe bottoming out in my left breast and I just noticed I have a couple reds scabs under breast fold. Should I be concerned about this.

	Thanks for your post

	Everything looks fine actually but this is most likely due to rubbing or friction. In some case after multiple surgeries the skin in the inferior pole can become thinned, however, so it would be best to get it checked out in person

Appears as skin irritations but always best to see your surgeon in person-ALWAYS! Might be a dermatitis issue.//

I would recommend seeing a plastic surgeon in your area - although rare, it is possible for implants to erode through the skin, especially if it has been thinned from prior surgery.

Dear Crisycat,

	Thank you for your post.  On the photos, these areas appear to be areas of rubbing, either skin on skin or against the bra, or some kind of adhesive.  Always best to be checked out in person if you are concerned, or if any other symptoms develop.
