Consider either a chin implant of sliding genioplasty if you want a permanent result. Fillers are temporary and require continued maintenance.
Hello and thank you for your question. A formal evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this. We can place a chin implant, which is a quick surgical procedure. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, however, so for those patients, we also offer non-surgical chin augmentation with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill, and Sculptra are injected into the area to improve the overall appearance of the lower face and balance the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline, and improve the chin crease.Implants are a great option once you are ready for permanent chin enhancement. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert, or an aesthetic facial plastic surgeon like Dr. Donald Groves; we are both located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer
Hello ! thank you for your question If you are a suitable case for chin implant, your jaw lines will be much more prominent from the front and side, and your face will be more attractive in general.thank you ! regards
Thank you for your question and for providing photos. Chin augmentation is an excellent option for improving the appearance of a receding chin. With a custom-fit chin implant, the side profile can be improved and the facial proportions brought into balance. In our office, we regularly use silicone implants as they are easy to customize and remove, should the patient choose to at a later time. However, chin implants of any material are malleable and porous so that they can be held in place by soft tissue and grow into the existing bone while healing. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to review your aesthetic goals and help you decide on the best course of action to achieve them.
If you are looking for nonsurgical options, dermal fillers can be used to help achieve more projection of your chin and a more tapered appearance of your jawline. For a more permanent option, chin augmentation would be a straightforward choice. You would need to be seen in person for an in depth consultation with a qualified facial plastic surgeon. During your consultation, your photos can be computer-morphed to show how the changes to your nose will affect your appearance. Consult with 2-3 of these surgeons in person and determine your comfort level with their approach, demeanor, and before and after results. Good luck! @drdonyoo
Based on these, very limited photos, it looks that you are a good candidate for chin augmentation/shaping with implant. Procedure is done in twilight anesthesia or local is some cases, through incision inside of the mouth or just bellow the chin. In person consultation, possibly 3D simulation, with a board certified plastic surgeon, is recommended. Good luck.
Consider placement of the chin implant to permanently augment your process of mandible and chin profile. The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia which takes about 30 minutes. In our practice, we use Implantech brand of solid silicone implants and insert the implant through a submental approach
It really ultimately depends on what surgeon is doing it, what they feel comfortable with, and they should be able to individually explain to you why they think their procedure is superior to the other two. All of them can give you this result, but it'll depend on the details of the plan. For...
