I'm thinking of getting a chin filler/implant to help with my receding chin. What would be the best approach?

With a custom-fit chin implant, the side profile can be improved and the facial proportions brought into balance. In our office, we regularly use silicone implants as they are easy to customize and remove, should the patient choose to at a later time. However, chin implants of any material are malleable and porous so that they can be held in place by soft tissue and grow into the existing bone while healing. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to review your aesthetic goals and help you decide on the best course of action to achieve them.

Procedure is done in twilight anesthesia or local is some cases, through incision inside of the mouth or just bellow the chin.
