Is it possible? Hey! The first photo is my GOAL body and I want to bring the first photo to my surgeon but was wondering if that first photo is unrealistic for me. The second photo is me now and the 3rd photo is me pre-baby. The rest are me now. -I have a very healthy lifestyle, I strength training 3 time a week and do cardio twice a week (my mom is a personal trainer)- I have stubborn subcutaneous fat on my flanks - I am done having kids. But yes I am in my early 20s and I KNOW I don't want more.
Answer: Candidate for a Tummy Tuck? You appear to be a great candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction for sculpting. While your goal body may not be realistic, I do offer an additional procedure to my tummy tucks called "waist enhancement" that reduces the waist even further. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to learn what options are available to you. Good luck.

Answer: Is this a realistic tummy tuck expectation for a contoured/hourglass look? (Photos) A short-scar TT was developed to enhance a patient’s abdomen and get rid of excess fat and skin in a way that created more attractive results. The shorter scar it leaves is the same length as that of the mini TT. A short-scar TT, however, offers double the amount of loose skin and fat removal that a mini offers. A physical exam would be necessary to determine what procedure (short, full) is most appropriate for you to achieve the results you are seeking. A TT addresses both the loose skin and the lax abdominal wall as to give a nice, flat youthful contour to the abdomen. The TT also creates a more youthful belly button. Liposuction, along with the TT, will allow you to have stubborn fat resistant to exercise and diet removed from unwanted areas (stomach, flanks, back). If the waist was smaller at one time, the waist can likely be reduced to those same measurements or smaller provided the muscular and fascial integrity has remained the same. A smaller waist may make the buttocks more conspicuous, but definition will not change. Healthy people at their ideal weight should have the best overall recovery from a TT, but some of this will depend upon the surgical technique and adherence to postoperative protocol. Your anatomy is incompatible with your aesthetic goals, but I think you would be pleased with the results.

Answer: Tummy tuck It appears from your photos that you would be a good candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction for contouring. Your goal photo is realistic, but always beware that your surgeon will need to work within your anatomy. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Is this a realistic tummy tuck expectation for a contoured/hourglass look? Thank you for the good question and pictures. Based on the photographs, you seem to be a good candidate for tummy tuck surgery and should expect a very nice outcome, assuming a well executed procedure. The goal photographs you have posted are not realistically achievable however. Generally, the tummy tuck operation involves removal of excess skin/adipose tissue of the lower abdominal wall and re approximation of the abdominal wall muscles that may have spread with pregnancies and/or weight gain/loss. Liposuctioning is often used as a tool during the procedure. Generally speaking, the “ideal” patient for tummy tuck surgery is one who has completed pregnancies, is psycho socially/emotionally/financially stable, has an excellent social support system surrounding him/her, is capable of arranging enough recovery time, does not smoke and who has reached a long-term stable weight. ***Results of these procedures will vary from one patient to another and from one plastic surgeon to another as well. Therefore, your plastic surgeon will be in the best position to address your concerns and questions in this regard. It will be important that you understand the probable outcome of the procedure as well as the limitations associated with each option (achieve a sense of realistic expectations) prior to proceeding. The best way to achieve a sense of realistic expectations may be to ask your plastic surgeon what he/she might expect your abdominal wall to look like after the planned procedure; this may be best done with the help of before/after photographs of previous patients. Failure to achieve realistic expectations prior to surgery may be a cause of patient satisfaction, despite a well executed and complication free procedure. Best wishes.

Answer: Tummy tuck Thank you for your question and photos. From your photos you appear to be a good candidate for a tummy tuck and lipo, since you do not plan on any future pregnancies. I think your desired after photo is not a realistic expectation of outcome from this procedure. Be sure you meet with a board certified plastic surgeon.
