I recommend a lip lift.  A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.  Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

i would start with lip filler and threads these can give you great results otherwise you have to consider filler and lip lift which is a bigger surgery. Best, Dr. Emer.

Fuller upper lip etc. Based on my 46 years of lip surgery I have found Fat Augmentation with our without a lip lift to be the best and most natural way to do this. When done by a skilled surgeon it is natural and has a soft feel  and no problems. If you want the white of your upper lip shorter an M type lip lift will do the job

I perform a lot of lip injections with fillers such as juvederm and it works great. Many times I need to put more in one side than the other to attempt to even out the vermillion border (The red line of the lip). This helps provide more symmetry at times.Another Option: For patients looking for a more long lasting result, I recommend fat grafting. That is, using your own bodies fat to make your lips naturally look more shapely. The bonus is that the results last many many years.
In general, I avoid using permanent prosthesis because I find that the lips are such dynamic and sensitive structures, the end result is not natural.

I appreciate your concerns and agree that the Lip Augmentation may be a nice option for you. I have never been a fan of lip implants because they can look and feel unnatural and if they become even slightly displaced, need to be removed.  Also, your upper lip appears to demonstrate a slight asymmetry and lip implants would not address this. Fillers like Juvéderm or fat transfer to the lips Is a much more natural, softer  and effective option.  Fat transfer has the advantage of longer lasting results. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to explore the best options for you. Good luck.

You have 4 basic options - 3 make your lip bigger, 1 gives you more show.  The 3 options for a larger lip are 1: artificial filler (JuveDerm or similar), 2: fat grafting, or 3: lip implant.  Artificial fillers are easy and cheapest, but often only last 3 months (yes, I know "they say" 9-12 months, but not in the lips).  Fat grafts are great, but it's not a 1 shot deal.  Only a percentage of the fat will survive, so it will need repeated.  Personally, I think lip implants are great - I do quite a few, but they can shift out of place.  When appropriately fitted and placed, they look very natural.  The last option is a lip lift. You have a relatively long upper lip (distance from the base of your nose to your lip). An indirect lip lift puts a scar under your nose and basically unrolls your upper lip, revealing more of the pink.  From a risk start, I'd start with filler and see how it goes.  Good luck!

Because the length of your upper lip appears normal, I would start with a filler like Juvederm Ultra or Vollure placed inferiorly and posteriorly to force the lip vermillion out and down. If you get really good results, because of your age, I would then repeat it with fat grafting. If you do not get as much improvement as you like, I would then do a sub nasal lip lift to roll the upper lip around.
