Has anyone had a problem with the Permalip implant sliding to one side?

For a lip implant that has shifted, you have several options.  One, you could simply have it removed and replaced at a later date.  You could have your current one removed and upsized at the same time which may help it stay in the midline especially if you follow postoperative instructions.  Or you could have the same lip implant moved back to the middle but this fails more times than not.  Or you could have it moved and a second implant placed at the same time on top of the old one(there are reports of this), but I have not tried this on anyone.  Your best first step is to see the original surgeon again.  

Thank you for your question.  When you first have the Permalip, in the first few weeks there can be some movement until your body forms scar tissue around the lip to hold in place.  Once this has happen the implant should not move.  I would suggest making a follow up appointment with your surgeon so they can examine the area to ensure all is fine.  All The Best
