Is darkening of one nipple "normal"? (Photo)

Thank you for ypur questions.  Darkening of the areas can be caused by the dermabond, brusiing, or a postentially partial necrosis.  I would advise that ypu see ypur surgeon today for an examination. Best Wishes.

Thank you for your question and photos.  At only five days post-op, you are in the very beginning stages of the healing process.  However, it is difficult to tell if you are experiencing wound healing issues.  One specific concern would be necrosis which could possibly be developing on or near the nipple.  It would be best for you to address the concerns your have with your operating surgeon who can perform an in-person evaluation.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL

to say that you are still early on healing process, it is too soon to determine
how your results are going to be, per now, they look very nice and beautiful,
you can have one bigger than the other, it is normal and that can happen for
the first 3 months until your implants have settle in. I recommend you to wait
and keep using your post surgical bra, that will help you with the shape and
support. Hugs!

A nipple area may look darker from either bruising or poor blood flow after surgery.  Poor blood flow is very unusual with the kind of surgery you had.  Ask your surgeon about the findings in the hear future.  Avoid smoking.

Thanks for the question.Fifth day after surgery one can not expect to look all parts of breast of same color symmetrically.Different parts of wound heal diffently. Some areas heal faster than the other.It all depends on the healing and your surgeon is the best judge to tell you if all is well.If you are not a really white skin individual there are more chances of such darkness that comes to normal appearance in due course of time.BA does not normally results into skin trouble of any kind at any stage but your PS should answer you.Wishing you all the best
