Breast lift with augmentation. Is the internal mesh worth it to get? (photos)

#Meshes can be used to help support a #sagging breast during a #BreastLift procedure. All meshes have their own unique properties. Some can be replaced by your own collagen, while others dissolve much like absorbable sutures. There are a number of mesh products such as #Seri, #Belladerm , #Flexiderm, #Galaflex, #Alloderm, #Tigr,#TiLoop, #Strattice, #ADM (acellular dermal matrix). These are all made by various companies and have different properties.Your surgeon can discuss with you which #mesh is best for your procedure. 

Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. In my practice for patients who wants to have more children I recommend to wait to finish your babies desires and then to perform breast surgery. It's best to wait at least six months until you've finished breastfeeding. That will be the beginning point of getting a true sense of your final size and shape. If you are planning on having your third child in the near future, I would advise that you wait because your breasts could change again. I have not done a lift with the internal mesh bra so I cannot comment on that. However, I've had a great deal of success with a standard breast lift procedure. You might ask your plastic surgeon if he has performed the I.D.E.A.L. Breast Lift. When you are finishing nursing, you might be candidate for this.

A breast lift alone may give you what you want. I agree if you want more children then you may want to wait. Not much risks of a lift alone now and can redo a lift in future if needed. Mesh product do work and may help take some of the weight off your breast tissue off the skin to help maintain your shape. Good Luck!

Hello. First of all, you need to see what type of Breast Lift is needed. If the distance from your collar bone straight down to your nipples is close to or over 30 cms, then you may need what is called the free nipple graft technique. Since the nipples would be removed from your body and relocated during the same surgery, lactation surely would not be possible in the future. An implant is a good idea in order to provide upper pole fullness that is not possible with your own tissue (at least not long term). I would recommend a SMALL implant, though since you have good volume already. I hope that my answer is useful and informative. 

The most important part of your question is the idea that you might not yet be done having children.  As you have already noted, your breasts have changed with pregnancy and breastfeeding and may change again after another child.  Ultimately, I think the internal mesh makes a lot of sense to maintain a more permanent lift (provide internal support) and could potentially negate the need for implants.  It sounds as though you have fairly large breasts already so implants would seem to be unnecessary and I too would suggest considering the internal mesh.  Best of luck!

The breasts may lose their elasticity and firmness which can be caused by different factors such as pregnancy, massive weight loss, lactation and aging. To reaffirm the breasts and restore the natural look your surgeon can perform a mastopexy or breast lift with augmentation such as silicone implants, you will get very nice results, contact a board certified plastic surgeon, I recommend you soft cohesive silicone implants about 350 cc's you will look pretty and they will be perky.Patients who goes to a consultation for drooping breasts (ptosis) or volume loss after pregnancy (pseudoptosis) almost always have one very important question. "Can my drooping be corrected with just implants or do I need a lift".Implants alone will correct drooping when:Breast drooping is mildThe nipple is still near the center breast and does not point downwardThere is some visible skin beneath the nipple/areola when looking at the breasts straight on.The patient is okay with being at least a cup size largerA breast lift (with or without an implant) is better when:Breast drooping is moderate or severeThe nipple is at the bottom of the breast or points downwardThere is no visible skin under the nipple/areola when looking at the breasts straight on.The patient is already a C or D cup breast size and doesn't want to be largerThe areola is too large and the patient wants it reducedI also show the patient photographs of a spectrum of breast scar present after a breast lift in order to check their tolerance for this scar. Most patients are surprised how little the scar shows and are okay with proceeding. If the patient really needs a breast lift, but is concerned about the scars, I will suggest they wait on surgery. In time the breast appearance problems will usually outweigh their concern about the scars.I use implants in combination with a lift when:The patient wants to be larger in addition to being less droopyThe patient desires to maintain projection and roundness of the breast moundThe drooping is severe..... I think that you do not need a mesh insert to give a lift to the breasts.  If you are planning to have more children, then I would wait.  Good luck.

From the photos, I do not think you need the mesh to achieve a good result.  More importantly, if you are considering a third child, wait until after you have finished childbearing. It is also important to give your breasts a chance to recuperate from lactation before coming to any conclusions as to augment/pexy. Best wishes.

If you have the extra $2,500 for mesh than i still might recommend to save it! Very hard to be sure if you really need a mesh lifting. Seek other in person opinions...
