I've previously had a tummy tuck. After significant weight loss, I'm interested in a LBL and vertical incision thigh lift. I would prefer one procedure/recovery.

Answer: LBL and thigh lift Yes, these can be performed together! An experienced surgeon is enough to complete the surgery in a timely fashion and avoid long anesthesia complications. Also as a patient you have to be motivated to follow directions to prevent complications.

Answer: Combination procedures The practicality and financial savings from combining procedures must be carefully weighed against the risk of deep vein thrombosis, pressure sores, nerve injuries, blood loss and hypothermia from a prolonged operation. Importantly, combining a lower body lift with a thigh lift will mean your two most important muscle groups- your abdominal core and your thighs- will be wrapped in sore wounds! I would only entertain combining these procedures in patients with amazing pain thresholds. The final thing to consider is surgeon fatigue. Surgeons get tired too- the last stitch in a ten hour operation is never as good as the first.
