Abdominoplasty and Endometrial Ablation - how many months I should leave between both procedures to minimize any risks?

I had abdominoplasty and lipo to flanks about 7 weeks ago. I am also due to have an endometrial ablation this year and am wondering how many months I should leave between both procedures to minimise any risks.

Dear Phenomenal507,
every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. Most plastic surgeons will recommend their patients to wait at least 6 months after surgery prior to any other elective procedure in order for body to fully heal. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

I would think 6 week minimum but optimally 3 months.  Both timelines are based on wound healing of the body rather than on the procedures you mentioned.  Definitely touch base with your plastic surgeon prior to the procedure.  Best Wishes!!

This really needs to be addressed by the plastic surgeon who performed you lipo and abdominoplasty and the surgeon performing the ablation.   Generally, it takes many months for swelling to resolve after TT surgery and it may take up to one year for complete skin redraping to occur.

You should be wait between 6-8 months to have another surgery procedure done. This is the period time your body recover from a Liposuction and Tummy Tuck. But I will recommend you to contact your Surgeon for any question or concern, he/she should give you recommendations after surgery that you most to follow.

I would recommend to wait six months between surgeries, but remember that all depends on your health and lab tests.

This question is best answered by your plastic surgeon and the surgeon performing your ablation.  It will involve reviewing how you are healing from your abdominoplasty, the medications you are taking, and your medical history.

I usually recommend 6 months between the two procedures, whichever comes first.
This will allow complete healing and possibly improvement of your fitness to achieve and maintain the best possible cosmetic outcome.
