Answer: White skin after FUE There is nothing to worry about. Some white spots may appear at the root of the grafts after washing your hair; this is not unusual: the skin at the top of the grafts may sometimes absorb some water. Crusts usually also appear after a hair transplant, this is normal. You just need to make sure that both the recipient and the donor areas are as clean as possible during the postoperative period so that regrowth can be optimal. So this is very important to scrub the crusts during the shampoo. Pay attention to use your fingertips, not your nails. You can also apply sweet almond oil in order to soften the crusts.

Answer: Shedding grafts Most people shed the grafts starting on the first few days. They may notice whitish crusts that look like grafts after washing and may even see these on the scalp after washing. These whitish bumps are grafts that have taken on a bit of water in the skin of the grafts, just like your finger get water-logged after you swim for a while. These crusts/grafts will shed over the next 3-4 weeks. IF have significant crusting, you did not do the correct wash immediately after the surgery as you should not have any significant crusts by the first 3-4 days.
