THC or Marijuna use is not recommended for any procedure. If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.
eb1977,Smoking MJ will not altered the PRP treatment or be detected because your doctor will not be testing for it. However, I think that you should inform him that you did. MJ will increase your bleeding, making your surgery more difficult because it will be harder to see. It will be specially hard if the receptive area has a lot of native hair. Good luck to the two of you.Sincerely,Bernardino A. Arocha, MD
Congratulations on your upcoming procedure. What we have noted anecdotally is that patients whom consume regular thc/marijuana typically have a slightly delayed onset of initial growth by a month or so, but results catch up with non-smokers by the 6th month post procedure. THC has no impact on your PRP therapy. THC resides in the serum, the therapeutic component of PRP resides in the plasma component of blood (platelet rich Plasma.)We have noted patients whom smoke tobacco products do have decreased yield and less healing capacity.
If you took these things, you need to speak with your doctor about these activities. It is probably ok but don't do this immediately after the surgery
It is not a good start when you don't trust your doctor after the surgery. You can have someone count 2000 individual scabs.
There isn't a specific product to hide your scar. You may want to ask your doctor for recommendations. You can always comb your hair forward.
In general transplanted hairs fall out within a few weeks after surgery. If you are concerned follow up with your doctor.
You had surgery already. It's too late to ask if it was the right thing to do. Photos cannot tell you if the surgery went well either. It will take 6 to 12 months to see the results.
Thank you for your question, ValleyBoy. I do not suggest traveling to Turkey in order to have an FUE NeoGraft Hair Transplant. Instead, you should consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon here in the States as the treatment is permanent.Best wishes,
Hair transplant to the scar generally do not work as you may expect. Your doctor who performed your surgery (who knows you, has examined you, and performed surgery on you) can answer your questions better.
