How is this different from a regular BBL? Are there any risks compared to a regular BBL?
Answer: Does anyone know what a PRP BBL is? If so, can you please explain? In my practice PRP is indispensable in accelerating wound healing, but we have not added it to the fat grafts. I am not sure about PRP and the literature supporting fat grafting improvement. I will say that I perform hundreds of BBLs each year, and the results are very significant without the PRP. I think that you are likely correct about the lack of benefits of PRP at this point.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear Suzettey, PRP is plateled rich plasma and it has a number of indications for which it can be helpful. Fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back into the buttocks as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival. It has to be placed carefully so that not too much fat is placed in only one area. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Adding complexity to confuse patients and make more money When it comes to liposuction, fat transfer procedures like the BBL I would specifically avoid providers who try to differentiate themselves based on the name of equipment or special technology of any kind. The truth is the potential impact of adding special formulations, Brand-name equipment or special technologies have virtually no impact on the final results of body Contouring procedures in comparison to choosing a plastic surgeon who has more skill and experience. PRP stands for platelet rich plasma. It’s basically blood with the red blood cells removed mixed with the fat. Re-injecting people‘s own blood after the red blood cells have been removed is the “new and improved” “do all” “magical cure all”. It grows collagen, it grows hair, it makes the fat go away, it makes the fat graft better it makes you young, it makes you beautiful and for god sake it’ll give you orgasms and your libido back. The claims for what injecting someone with their own blood can do goes on and on and on and on. why? Because it makes them $$$$. Scientific evidence? We need scientific evidence when the cash is rolling in hand over fist. Please avoid providers who are differentiating themselves with words like PRP, VASER, smart Lipo, laser, high definition, minimally invasive, Micro cannula, Or any of the many many terms people use to try to fool patients into believing they have something truly different and unique to offer. The best surgeons can deliver consistent high-quality results with any form of equipment. All plastic surgeons have the tools they need to deliver excellent results if they have the skills and experience. There are only two variables that matter when it comes to cosmetic surgery. The unique candidacy of each patient combined with the skill and experience of the plastic surgeon. If someone is not a good candidate they’re not going to have a good result no matter who they go to. If someone is an ideal candidate but they go to a plastic surgeon who doesn’t have the skill or experience there’s a high likelihood of having a poor outcome and increased chance of being potentially left disfigured. Keep it simple keep it real I recommend the following to get the best outcome and have cosmetic surgery be an overall positive experience. I recommend patients avoid traveling long distances for elective surgical procedures. There are of course instances where there is a lack of local talent and traveling to some degree is inevitable. If traveling for the procedure patients should be ready to travel to have the consultation, post operative appointments and follow up should there be issues or complications. Patients sometimes do not appreciate the importance of in person consultations, that complications do happen or the number of people who have issues with their results or need revisions. Schedule multiple consultations with different providers in your area who seem to have a good reputation for the procedure you’re interested in. Starting with at least five consultations seems like a reasonable number to me. Whenever possible schedule in person consultations. During in person consultations ask each plastic surgeon to show all of their before and after pictures for the procedure you’re interested in. The goal is not to see the best results of their career but to get an idea of what average results look like and get some type of confirmation of how many of these procedures that provider has performed. Ask to see results that were not as good as the doctor would’ve hoped for and talk about the differences in outcomes. Honest and experienced providers should have no problems presenting this type of information. A highly experienced plastic surgeon should have hundreds of before and after pictures for the procedure you’re interested in. At a minimum at least 20+. Read all the reviews on various physician review websites paying close attention and avoiding providers with any significant number of justified negative reviews. Providers with an abundance of reviews often have aggressive marketing campaigns. The plastic surgeons I respect most all have the single variable of not having justified negative reviews on their online profiles. In my opinion justified negative reviews are far more telling than an abundance of positive reviews. Avoid scheduling for surgery or making a deposit on the day of the consultation. Give yourself some time to think about the decision and make sure you finished all scheduled consultations before committing to having surgery that will permanently and irreversibly change your body. When in doubt slow down and schedule more consultations. Choosing the right plastic surgeon is the single most important variable to having a positive experience. Don’t go chasing after technology or names of certain equipment. Instead focus all your efforts on finding the most experienced and talented board-certified plastic surgeon. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: BBL candidate Hello, Thank you for sharing the information, it is a pleasure for me to answer your question. Definitely the most appropriate is to start (tummy tuck, liposuction and BBL can also be included), you are a candidate perfect, for the procedure, with this you can eliminate all localized fat and flaccidity, you will get the best results and have a defined appearance according to your body. everything depends on your BMI, if it is within the normal range, above 35 it can generate risks. It is advisable to consult with a certified plastic surgeon, for a good evaluation, to provide you with all the information you need to know about the appropriate recommendations, so that you can achieve the desired goals in your body. I hope this answer will help you My best wishes for you...
