IUD or implants after a BBL, can have either of these types of birth control after a BBL?

Hello. I wanted to know if you have a schedule Brazilian butt lift and wanted to get a more permanent birth control instead of the pill is that an option? If you wanted to switch to a IUD or implant. Is that even an option? What are the side effects? Is this recommended?

Our office performs a pregnancy test the day of surgery. If the test results are positive, the BBL will be cancelled. Recommend that you check with your gynecologist regarding pills vs shots vs implants for effective birth control and their side effects. Changing the type of birth control you use after having a BBL is an option.

every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. Generally speaking, you should be able to get a birth control device after BBL. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Birth-control is fairly isolated and separate from the BBL procedure.

Having a BBL should have no impact on your ability to have any form of birth control.

Please discuss birth-control with your OB/GYN or primary care physician and any plastic surgery related issues with a local board-certified plastic surgeon.
