Would I get blood clots or anything if I stop a month before or should I need to stop 5-6 months before?
Answer: How many months before a BBL surgery should I stop breastfeeding? What’s the risks if I stop a month before? Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You can be a candidate for plastic surgery, six months after you have stopped breastfeeding, when your hormones have normalized. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know. Good luck :)

Answer: How many months before a BBL surgery should I stop breastfeeding? What’s the risks if I stop a month before? Hello, thank you for your question. When a mother is breast feeding after pregnancy, there are still high levels of hormones circulating in your system. For elective cosmetic surgery, most PS prefer that all of these hormones have normalized before undergoing the knife. It is best to finish breast feeding then to give your body some time to normalize before having surgery.

Answer: Breast-feeding and elective cosmetic surgery Different plastic surgeons have different views on this. I think 5 to 6 months is a reasonable amount of time but a lot has to do with how many months after birth the mother is still breast-feeding. some plastic surgeons are OK with patients simply pump and dump while taking medications that may be inappropriate for the baby. I suggest you discuss this with your plastic surgeon. If you don’t have one I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons in your area. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
