I think that you can see the results rathe quickly but there will be a lot of swelling and this can take 6-8 weeks for most of it to settle down.

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. The best answer is that fat grafting works by multiple mechanisms. The first is by just adding bulk to the grafted area. But more importantly, the stem cells transferred with the fat graft stimulate collagen formation and healing of the grafted area. This usually takes 6 - 12 months to provide its full results. Good luck!
