Pain after fat transfer to calves. (photos)

5 september 2016 i had fat trasferred to my calves....last week i went for a touch up on 9 january 2017........its now been 10 days...one of my legs are so red i cannot sit because they hurt the only way i get some relief is when im laying down on bed. i am on antibiotics and cold compresser but it still swollen. Is this normal? feel stiff i know that is normal but the first time i didnt experience any pain only stiffness. i feel so uncomfortable when sitting and it hurts....cannot stand for long either.

Yes, you can have fat transfer even though you have lupus. Technique is important with fat transfer. I use water assisted harvesting to get the most viable fat to transfer and mix it with prp and sculptra to improve final results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting...

Pressure on fat grafts is best avoided for at least a month and maybe two.  If the fat is grafted laterally on your hips, then either supine or prone positioning postop should be fine.

Yes, the bruise under the eyes will eventually resolve and it will take 3-6 months to see your final results with your fat transfer. I recommend adding prp and sculptra injections to help maintain results. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
