Pain after fat transfer to calves. (photos)

Question

5 september 2016 i had fat trasferred to my calves....last week i went for a touch up on 9 january 2017........its now been 10 days...one of my legs are so red i cannot sit because they hurt the only way i get some relief is when im laying down on bed. i am on antibiotics and cold compresser but it still swollen. Is this normal? feel stiff i know that is normal but the first time i didnt experience any pain only stiffness. i feel so uncomfortable when sitting and it hurts....cannot stand for long either.

Thank you for your question and pictures.  It seems to me from your pictures that you may have an infection that is not responding to the antibiotics.  This can be serious and you should go see you PS asap.

Thank you for your question. Since you are already on antibiotics and still feeling so poorly, you should definitely follow-up with your board-certified plastic surgeon's office again immediately, as calf pain can also be a symptom of another unusual and (probably unlikely) condition known as a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) - which is a true medical emergency.
