Is getting a “skinny bbl” less painful?

I’ve heard of some girls not having much excess fat but still getting a BBL just to essentially fill in their hip dips and not caring about having a big butt (which is what I want) and them saying the recovery process was not painful at all because they didn’t move very much fat. Is this true?

Pain and recovery are dependent on the amount of surgery that will be done. In this case, you should expect less pain and faster recovery than traditional BBL. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to review your options. I hope this helps. Best of luck!

Pain after any procedure can be quite subjective. I’ve had patients with minimal pain and others who’ve had a tougher time, particularly the first 2-3 days.

Having said that, the liposuction portion of the procedure would likely feel about the same. The buttocks may not feel as painful with less volume of injection.

Hello, thank you for your question. The thinner patient requires an expert at liposuction to remove as much fat as possible while leaving the skin smooth. There are a lot of women who can get nice results despite thinking that there is not enough fat.

Thank you for your question. Pain is subjective and patients have different thresholds for pain/discomfort. The discomfort is mainly from the body sculpting part of the procedure and not from the fat injection part. Depending how well trained your plastic surgeon is in body sculpting determines your final result. Minimal fat collection and no sculpting with minimal fat transfer will give you less pain and less results.

The liposuction is the part of the BBL that is painful post op. It makes sense that if you get less areas liposucitoned you will have less pain post op.

First, it is a common misconception that skinny patients cannot get a BBL. Furthermore, skinny patients do not need to gain weight to become candidates for a BBL. Using High Definition VASER Liposuction, more viable fat can be harvested from a smaller area. If you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. There Are multiple variables that influence pain during an after this procedure.

The first is how each person perceives pain and the subjective difference among individuals.

The second is how aggressive it was section is done in order to get the results desired or harvest the amount of fat required.

Sometimes thin people end up having less liposuction and sometimes more.

If a provider is trying to get everything they can out of a certain area then that area may get beaten up pretty badly similar to removing large amounts of fat in someone trying to get maximum debulking.

Also, slim people may have to undergo liposuction of many more anatomic areas to harvest sufficient amounts of fat and this can add to discomfort in new or additional areas.

How the procedure is done varies a lot including how the surgeon uses tumecsent solution to its maximum benefit during the procedure.

The pain medication prescribed after also has a big impact on how patients perceive discomfort after the surgery.

Certain areas over bony structures like the spine on the lower back and the rib cage have a tendency to be uncomfortable for longer periods of time.

By far the biggest variable is how individual patients perceive recovering from the procedure.

Knowing how you individually tolerate things that involve discomfort is the best indicator.

It certainly helps to have a highly experienced and compassionate plastic surgeon during the procedure as well.
