I don't feel like there's much fat under my neck at 40, but both my skin and muscles seem to have "fallen" over the last few years. I'm not sure if this could be solved non-surgically at this point. I also have genetic jowl-ing that I'm self conscious about from the fat falling from my under-eye and cheeks. Is it too early o do anything that would last long-term? I just want to feel better.
Answer: Can sagging Neck/Face be solved non-surgically? Is it too early o do anything that would last long-term? Facial rejuvenation varies from surgeon to surgeon and means different things to different patients. In general it is the process to try to reverse the facial appearance caused by aging. It may involve improving the skin texture and complexion, diminishing skin discoloration, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, contouring hollows, or tightening loose tissue that has lost its elasticity. There are a variety of procedures, both non-surgical and surgical which can be utilized to achieve these various goals. Fillers, Botox or Dysport, micro-fat grafts, chemical peels, a skin care program, lasers, skin tightening, and surgical lifts are some of the methods that are used to achieve a cosmetic improvement. Each has advantages and disadvantages as well as limitations of what they can achieve. The best technique or combination of procedures depends on patient concern, desired outcome, individual anatomy, underlying medical health, and extent of aging. There is no one approach that is ideal for everyone. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with who has all of the modalities of treatment available. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Facial rejuvenation needs to be individualized. What would be an ideal approach for one patient is not necessarily the same for someone else. Based on the examination and discussion at the consultation, you should have a better understanding of the various options that can achieve the best cosmetic result for you. Answer: Facial aging Thank you for your question! As we age, tissue starts to fall, and fat pads edge lower, adding volume to the lower face and causing jowling and deep nasolabial folds. A non-surgical option would be fillers, which can be used to add volume to the upper face as well as soften transition points of the lower face. However, the best treatment would entail a facelift. Regarding timing, it isn't too early. Sometimes even patients in their 30s are getting facelifts. As always, a detailed discussion of your goals with your surgeon is paramount. I hope that helps!

Answer: Can sagging neck and face be solved non-surgically? Nonsurgical rejuvenation is not going to give you the improvement that you're looking for. An upper blepharoplasty procedure can accomplish removal of the excess skin on your upper lids creating the hooded and tired look. A lower blepharoplasty can remove the fat bags creating the puffy look. The incision for the lower eyelids is located completely on the inside the eyelids. No external incisions are required .Regarding your neck, there appears to be significant fat deposits located both above and below the platysma muscle in my neck which would require a necklift procedure to remove those fat deposits in addition to tightening the platysma muscle. At age 40, a facelift is not required and there's no skin removal required either with a neck lift.
