My nose keeps going lower and shrinking, does rhinoplasty with rib cartilage shrink? (Photos)

Hi there, thanks for your question and photos.  Post rhinoplasty healing typically leads to a reduction of overall size of the nose, so some shrinkage is to be expected with resolution of swelling.  If the amount is more than you want, then it is reasonable to discuss with your primary surgeon causes and options for correction.  In addition, it is possible for cartilage grafts such as DCF to resorb somewhat over time which can contribute to loss of dorsal height.  So please discuss with your surgeon to find out options and alternatives available to you, and best of luck!

Hello. What you are experiencing is not totally unusual. Sometimes transplanted cartilage can shrink. What does your surgeon say and what does he propose? You may be a candidate for permanent non-surgical revision rhinoplasty. There are temporary and permanent fillers available.
