Hello, and thank you for your question regarding how to slim down your neck. Thank you for your history in your pictures. Since you want to lose another 20 pounds, lose the weight first and then reevaluate your neck. You may lose fat in the neck region. However, if the neck remains the same as shown in the pictures, you may need neck VASER liposuction. Since you’re only 34 years old, the skin will probably contract. Alternatively, you may consider an Endolift. An Endolift uses a laser to melt the fat and contract the skin. However, if you undergo an Endolift, you may need several treatments. Alternatively, if, after your 20-pound weight loss, you are left with rolls of skin and little fat, you would probably do better with a neck lift. During a neck lift, an incision is made around the ear. Tissue dissection is performed to the jawline and neckline. The redundant neck skin is lifted and redraped. The neck then becomes more defined. Therefore, in conclusion, most plastic surgeons would suggest you lose the weight and evaluate the neck. The options are VASER neck liposuction, Endolift, or a neck lift. These options depend on what your neck looks like after a 20-pound weight loss. Good luck. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen, MD, MBA, FACS, FICS.
