For about a week I have noticed my feet are sweating a lot. When I take me shoes off my socks are soaked. This is not normal for me at all and it is only in my feet. What would caused this?
Answer: Sweating in the feet About one percent of the population suffers from hyperhidrosis, making it extremely common. The causes of the excess sweat in your feet are many but most are not within your control. My office provides leading treatments for excess sweat in Los Angeles and I would suggest an examination and treatment if you are a candidate. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

Answer: Excessive Foot sweating Hi,thank you for the question.I would be looking for a systemic cause for example overactive thyroid , new medications, increased intake of caffeine, fever from infection fevers .Please see your physician to rule these out .Treating the symptom is possible with botulinum toxin if no underlying cause is found however it takes a lot of product , requires anesthesia and is generally not as effective as treatment for underarm or hand hyperhidrosis.

Answer: Plantar hyperhidrosis It is unlikely that you have an underlying medical problem if you have isolated sweating from the feet. Nevertheless, the only test you need in most cases is a thyroid function test which will most likley be normal. If it were a generalized health problem, you would sweat from many places in the body. Plantar hyperhidrosis is common and perhas you had cold damp feet and hands and now the condition has worsened and now you have obvious sweating.
