Hi,Thank you for your question.Dysport can be used off-label to treat vertical lip lines but depending on the severity of the lines, you may also need filler treatment. Dysport will paralyze some of the muscle fibers that cause lip lines when pursing the lips so if your lines are only present with animation, it may be a good option for you. If your lines are deeper and more noticeable at rest, you may also need filler to help give more support to the perioral structures.Other options include laser and/or chemical resurfacing. Consult with a board certified injector to determine which treatment(s) are the best for your specific concern.Hope this helps!
Hello Harles.Dysport can be used there in tiny doses, but combination therapy is best. This includes a dermal filler like Restylane Silk and skin resurfacing (peels, laser). There's no "magic bullet" and keeping the lines from coming back will also require maintenance.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)
Hello there,Dysport is a good possible treatment for vertical lip lines as it helps that the lines won't be made anymore when your lips are moving. Depending on if the lines are still present even when your lips are at rest, I would recommend laser resurfacing, micro needling with PRP and/or fine line fillers such as Volbella. Hope this helps. All the best,Carlos Mata, MD, MBA, FACSBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon
Either Botox of Dysport can help with the small vertical lines over the lips. The dose given is quite small to avoid issues with talking or eating. Good luck
Yes, I recommend Dysport/Botox/Xeomin for the treatment of lip lines combined with lasers and microneedling/prp for the best results. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Dysport and Botox can be used to treat vertical lines above the lips if they are caused by muscular movement of the lips. If you try to whistle and the lines form, then these normally can be treated.
Thank you for your question. Yes, Dysport can be used to treat vertical lines above the lips. You can also use fillers, such as Juvederm to treat this area. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector to discuss you concerns and to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
Dysport is great to control the motion that causes upper lip lines. As a Galderma trainer facility we usually recommend supplementing this with Refyne or Silk to smooth the lines and use the Dysport to deactivate the movement subtly.
Since Dysport® tends to spread further from injection points than Botox® Cosmetic, so for a smaller more precise injection area such as the upper lip lines, I prefer Botox® Cosmetic. Since upper lip lines are an advanced injection technique please consult a board certified aesthetic dermatologist for a consultation.
Yes, Dysport is recommended for use on the vertical lines above the lips, which we call lip lines. These treatments work by blocking the action of unwanted wrinkles. Most patients see improvements within several days of the Dysport, and the result will usually last about three to four months.
Thank you for your question. There has been no reports of true allergies to Dysport. There is the potential to react to the preservative in the saline or the cow milk protein in Dysport. However, this is very rare. I recommend voicing your concerns with your injector and having a spot test prior...
Thank you for your question. Yes, it is safe to have Dysport injected the day prior to foot surgery. Typically, Dysport requires a few hours to bind to its site of action. Therefore, having anesthesia the next day shouldn't affect your results. Best of Luck!
Thanks for your question. A dropped eyebrow (brow ptosis) can occur after Dysport treatments - it typically occurs when Dysport is injected too low or when too much Dysport is injected to the forehead muscles. Dysport typically lasts about 3-4 months. Communicate to your injector your conce...
