Angry rash from Dysport. Is there anything I can use to help this? (Photo)

Everytime I get dysport I get a rash but this time it's terrible won't stop burning and is clusters and really red it used to start on my forearm then moved to my armpit now is on my chest is sometimes stops immediately but this time it's at a angry inflamed stage is there anything I can use to help this, allergic reaction to dysport everytime

Hi Jaime,You likely have a milk allergy.  Dysport has a protein in milk that is used as its carrrier.  After you body absorbs it, the reaction should go away.  You can take benadryl or topical hydrocortisone to help with the skin reaction. Unfortunately, the reaction will likely get worse with each exposure.  There are other products on the market that you can still use to achieve the same results.Check with your plastic surgeon or primary doctor to make sure you get on the right medications.Best of luck,Dr. B

This needs to be discussed immediately with your doc. This is not a normal reaction. Allergies to Dysport are rare but can occur if you are allergic to albumin, milk. Other possibility is being allergic to the benzyl alcohol in the preserved saline. A test on your forearm with the saline can prove an allergy to that.
