I am still worried about my lip lift results. I feel like it left me with extremely raised lips in the center compared to the sides. The Cupid s bow is now pointy instead of rounded. And when I talk it has a triangle shape. Will the middle of my lip drop? And what could be done to fix/improve this?
Answer: Shape of the lips after lip lift Thank you for your picture. You have significant amount of residual swelling, which all depends on how your healing time course immediately after surgery went. In a bullhorn lip lift, the middle is always the last part of the swelling to settle down as the vectors of lift bring everything up towards the middle. Usually by around 4-6 weeks you are in pretty good shape, but Ive seen it take as long as 3 months to look more natural. It also all depends on how much was removed and lifted as well as rolled. You will continue to improve, however how quickly depends on a few factors that your surgeon would be able to guide you through (such as number of support sutures, type of support sutures and how long to expect them to dissolve, etc). Best of luck with the rest of your healing. I hope some of this helps.

Answer: Before pictures if possible Thank you for your question and the photograph. It would be useful if you could show a picture of before you had the lip lift so I can compare the lips. With a central lip lift, the area around cupids bow does tend to elevate and is more prominent. If you have a downturned angle of the mouth before the surgery then this can be exentuated and look more obvious after a central lip lift. In these cases, it is sometimes useful to do a corner lip lift at teh same time or afterwards to balance this out. The swelling will settle down and the lips will still change so wha tyou are seeing now will be very different to 3 months time. The lips will not remain as prominent as they currently are and you will more than likely get the result you desire. If not and there is still a persisting downward slope, then a corner lift can help to address this. I hope this is helpful for youBW

Answer: Lip Lift It looks as though you still have a considerable amount of swelling/inflammation in that region of your lip. This is not uncommon and could possibly take 3 months or longer to evaluate the end results of your surgery. If your outer lip still bothers you in the future, you can always add volume to the outer corners by adding HA Fillers.
