It’s been almost 2 years. This was a procedure suggested by the surgeon to be more youthful and show teeth at repose. I regret it every single day. I feel the stiffness and scarring that has a burning feel to it. I want to get my more natural smile back and improve the scarring and look of nose. Nose feels pulled out and not tucked into base. I have not seeeked the opinion of another plastic surgeon and original surgeon sees nothing wrong. He said nose looks better than before.

In your case, the the scar at the base of the columella (where the center column of the nose that divides the nostrils meets the upper lip skin) has slid down. This can happen when the skin of the lip is not fixed to a stable structure such as the septum cartilage of the nose. The most quoted bad long term effects of lip lift are:
		lip lengthening over time after surgery
		thick scar, or scar that slides down
		distortion of the nose (tip slides down or nostrils widen)
All these problems are caused by the tension of the moving lip on the stable nose skin. As the lip movements pull on the nose skin it can distort the nose, have the scar migrate down, or the body will lay a lot of collagen on the scar to hold the wound together (thick scar). These are all preventable by using deep permanent sutures fixed to a stable base.
