procedure, the amount of tissue removed is determined on a case by case basis.
Swelling is a normal occurrence post procedure and can last for several days to

You should expect to be at your most swollen at five days.   For some people, it's possible that they even look bigger than before surgery at this point.I know there's an off a lot of information that you have to absorb before having surgery.Post-op care and expectations are things we typically go over in detail prior to surgery.  Most patients see immediate improvements. These only get better with time, though at five days is when you will be the most swollen.Please follow up with your surgeon and have him or her address your concerns.I don't think there is a known average amount of fat removed from liposuction. If there was, it would pertain to an average patient. Because the majority of people are not average, average numbers often do not apply.I have removed from 20 to 250 mL of fat from chin and neck liposuction.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
