I have lost a lot of weight! I wanted to get rid of all of the excess skin on my chin. Dr. Baxt recommended a full facelift and upper eyelid lift. The first few days were a little rough. I was very swollen and bruised. The bruising lasted about a week. I was swollen for about a month in places, not everywhere. I am totally satisfied and happy with results 21/2 months after. Everything looks very natural and no one can even tell I had anything done.i look like me just refreshed. The biggest change is in my upper eyelids because they were very droopy and hooded..
Dr. Baxt is quintessential of a medical professional. In an age where you find doctors are often rushing you through medical examination or are less responsive, Dr. Baxt turns that on it's head. I had been on the fence for years about breast augmentation. As a woman who always had full and "fluffy" breasts I had never thought I would be a candidate for breast augmentation, however, after two children and breastfeeding for 2 years+ I was left with deflated breasts that left me yearning for the days of my pre-children breasts. After my consultation with Dr. Baxt I knew not only that I was ready for this procedure but that I would do it with no one else but Dr. Baxt. The care, time and interest he showed for the start was so reassuring; I don't know if I would have made this decision had it not been for his willingness to answer all my questions. I had questions during our consultation, after the consultation, before the surgery and he addressed all my questions with the sensitivity and care I needed. After the procedure, he was accessible by phone, email and text. I will admit that I reached out to him several times and all of my inquiries were addressed with lightening speed. In addition to his impeccable beside manner, his staff from the front office (Michelle) to the nurses and staff at the reception desk were top notch. I can't say enough of my experience to date and I am thrilled with the results. As newbie to cosmetic surgery, I had a phenomenal experience and my 350cc were just enough to have the sufficient size and fullness I was looking for; my only regret was not doing it sooner! Thank you Dr. Baxt!
Absolutely professional, understanding, and thorough. I traveled from the Pacific Northwest to see him in NJ, and it was worth everything. I would do it all over again, and I would not change a thing. The results were exactly what I wanted and just right for my body. I highly recommend Dr. Baxt for your cosmetic enhancement needs.
I had liposuction in 1994 with Dr. Baxt and was extremely pleased. Dr. Baxt is very kind and patient when going over what you would like to achieve and the steps to get there. He explains what will be done in great detail and leaves no questions unanswered. I would highly recommend Dr. Baxt to anyone wishing to improve their appearance. Updated on 17 Aug 2016: I had my surgery on August 11 and I am so happy I did. Dr. Sherwood Baxt explained everything in detail and called me the evening of my surgery to see how I was doing. I would highly recommend him for this procedure. He is located both in Manhattan and also in Paramus, NJ. I had the procedure done in his New Jersey Office.
I wanted upper and lower eyelid surgery because I always looked tired. I wore glasses to hide my eyes. When I looked in the mirror, it didn't look like ME I didn't have any eyelids anymore the skin was hanging over them and I had huge bags under my eyes. People told me I looked tired even when I had glasses in.
I've had gyno half my life and I was finally in a place where I could go forth with finding a surgeon and having surgery. I found Dr. Baxt on realself, googled him, looked at his reviews, looked at the videos he has on youtube and then made an appointment. I went in and spoke with him, he was honest with me about how the post op could possibly be. I had pretty bad gyno so I knew what the possibly results were and I felt those results would be better than having gyno any longer. When surgery day came, his entire staff made me feel comfortable. This was my first time having surgery so I was pretty nervous about it. Dr. Baxt's anesthesiologist came in and spoke to me before I went into the surgery suite, then Dr. Baxt came in and spoke with me to tell me exactly what he was going to be doing. Shortly after I walked into the surgery suite. Everyone in the suite was speaking to me to keep me from being nervous and I guess to also know when I was ready for surgery. The next thing I remember was waking up in a leather recliner. The staff helped me get dressed once I was coherent enough and then I was on my way home. I didn't immediately look at the post results as it was just a bit too surreal for me. When I finally did though I was bruised and swollen which was expected, but my gyno was gone. It took me even longer before I looked at the incision spots but when I did I was happy with those also. Dr. Baxt makes a small incision on a crease between your chest and arm pit. He uses a grinding tool that breaks up the gyno tissue and then lipos it out. Liposuction alone will not remove gyno tissue as it is too solid. It's only been 4 weeks but its so unnoticeable and over time with the scar fading I don't think anyone would ever see it. I can say I am happy with the results. I went in with realistic expectations and I received better than expected results. Full recovery time is 6-12 months and I look forward to seeing any changes.
I have been wanting to do a breast reduction for years but because of the long recovery time of the traditional breast reduction I put it off . When I read Dr Baxt study in african American women I decided to go with the liposuction breast reduction . I lived in the Midwest and did a consultation with another surgeon but I moved to the east coast and decided to do my surgery with Dr Baxt . It was all seamless from the consultation to the surgery itself .Today is post day 0 so I cant discuss result but I am pretty happy with the amount of tissue removed and expecting decent result. I am in minimal pain, really just the amount of tenderness I get during my period.
It has been 2 weeks (minus 1 day) since surgery. Swelling is gone and mild bruising left on 1 lid. I feel completely confident to go out without sunglasses. My son looked at me and his comment "mom you look mad young!" And I'm not even done healing. I got the exact result I wanted which was that I just look better but no one will know why. I am a private person and am not advertising to my friends that I've had this done so I don't want photos posted of my face. If you're thinking of having this done I would recommend my doctor. He did a great job...my incisions are still healing but they are almost invisible.
Please remember the price of this procedure was from 10 years ago. I am writing this review now because I just went back to the doctor who did my breast augmentation to have an upper eyelid lift. I was just reminded how amazing this doctor is and how much I love his office. 10 Years ago, after two children and a divorce where I lost a lot of weight very quickly due to my cheating husband I was in desperate need of what I call reconstructive surgery. I wasn't looking for larger boobs, I just wanted to get back what I originally had before my children plus just a little more fullness. I went with a full B/Small C cup. From start to finish the experience was wonderful. And this week after just having my eyes done by the same doctor I know that is was not some fluke. He really is great at what he does no matter what it is. The office is amazing, the pricing is competitive and he really knows what he is doing. 10 Years later my breasts look amazing and natural. I did get saline which I know at this point is hardly ever used but I am still very happy with them.
Dr. Sherwood was great on my recent surgery. He explained the procedure in full and made sure I was comfortable throughout. The results were great and he made sure to keep checking in to make sure the recovery was going well. I had lipo under my chin and the results could not have been better. It was not terrible before, but it was a noticeable difference after the swelling subsided.
I assume it has been strong suggested, but the most logical answer if you are significantly overweight is to try to lose some of it and see if that helps. I know you don't want "surgery" but there is a minimal approach to this using the liposuction only procedure. Outpatient under light sedation with a quarter inch almost invisible scar. If it's of any interest find a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this particular variation of the operation. Hope this helps.
One question is simple to answer. If the permenant  suture is visible  or you can feel it, it is fairly straightforward to remove using local anesthesia. The rest requires photographs to make any meaningful suggestions.Â
Smartlipo, using the laser along with liposuction can be very helpful and effective but if the majority of the bulge you are showing in the photograph is due to a separation of the muscles after pregnancy you may be disappointed. Here's where you want to meet with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has the ability to diagnose and treat if this is more than just liposuction.
I have always allowed my patients to exercise as soon as they feel comfortable. That can vary significantly from patient to patient. There is very little you can do to "damage" things after this type of procedure.  When you do go back just start easy and work your way back up. Hope this helps.
No. The laser is usually used first in the process, and it is designed to destroy and melt fat cells. Therefore they are not available for transplant. If there is enough fat available The laser "could" be used in the beginning in the more superficial layers and then the traditional procedure used to harvest fat for the transfer. Hope this is of some help.Â
