I did tons of research before finally deciding to use Dr. Clayton. Dr. Clayton was so knowledgeable! I could not have asked for a better turn out. He was there to answer my questions every step of the way, and even gave me his personal cell number! The pictures don't lie! This man is a true artist when it comes to plastic surgery!
Exceptional care from beginning to end! I had a breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, and lipo. I couldn’t be happier with the results! He explained the process thoroughly prior and followed up with me frequently in the immediate post-op period. Im now 6 weeks out and the healing process has been smooth and relatively easy. He has decades of experience and I feel the best plastic surgeon in Utah (I have worked in health care for 20 years and have worked with hundreds of doctors). If you are thinking of having plastic surgery, I would look no further. He is fantastic!!!
Dr Clayton did my tummy tuck in May. The whole experience was amazing. He and his staff are the best; they always made me feel heard and comfortable. My results are incredible. He really is the best! I am so grateful to Dr. Clayton.
I just had a breast augmentation done and I am thrilled! I’m so happy with my results! I’m only about 3 weeks post-op so, I have a while to go before I’m completely healed but I love my results so far. Dr. Clayton is an amazing surgeon and he made sure that I got exactly the type of look I wanted. He answered all my questions and concerns throughly. During all my consults before surgery, he never tried to sell me on other treatments and he is priced very fairly for how amazing his work is! Also, he is so nice and has awesome bed side manners! Would highly recommend him!
I cannot say enough about how amazing Dr. Clayton and his staff are. The facility is beautiful and they always great you with a smile. Dr. Clayton's professionalism is beyond anything I have experienced in the medical and cosmetic field.
Dr. Clayton came highly referred to me as one of the top plastic surgeons in Utah. After meeting him in my initial consultation, I saw how passionate and knowledgeable he was, and had a genuine interest in helping me look and feel my best! He genuinely cares about his patients and it truly truly shows. He's so caring, kind and honest. My surgery went very well, and twice Dr. Clayton came in on the weekends to see me, to make sure I was well taken care. He held my hand every step of the way (and his assistant Sunny too - amazing!) His attention to detail is amazing. I had abdominoplasty and lipo done in several areas, my pain was managed considerably, and my scaring is minimal. I look amazing!!! The staff at Trilogy are also amazing. They are always available right away for questions or concerns, and Dr. Clayton is always available 24/7. Best decision I ever made to go Dr. Clayton. I can honestly say, I trust him with my life :)
Dr. Clayton was amazing to work with! Extremely professional during each step of the way. He took the time to answer all my questions and made sure that I understood all my available options for my augmentation and liposuction procedures. I never once felt rushed when talking with or meeting with him or his staff. The day of surgery he made sure I was comfortable with my choices and walked me through the entire surgery and recovery. His OR staff is amazing too! Very kind and knowledgeable. Took time to make sure I was comfortable at every step. Even after the surgery I had several phone calls to check on me and my progress and how I was feeling. I would highly recommend Dr. Clayton!
He goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy with the results! He never rushes you and takes time to really know exactly what you want from him and his stuff. He is a perfectionist during the surgery! His staff always says he takes longer then he originally tells you the surgery will take because he wants every stitch perfect! Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Dr. Dave Clayton is amazing. I flew from California to Utah to get a GGMakeover (Gorgeous Grandma) aka “Mommy Makeover.” It has only been 10 days and I feel and look fabulous!! Dave is very passionate about sculpting you into the new you. I wish I would have done this years ago. I have watched him over the past 40 years and knew I would not let anyone other than Dr. Dave perform any surgery on me. I feel like a new woman! Dr. Dave has given me a new lease on life!! I highly recommend Dr. Dave Clayton. Denise Treat Auburn, CA
Dr. Clayton knows what he’s doing. I went to him to repair my encapsulated implant and he made my breasts more asthetically pleasing by readjusting both implants. I love them more than ever and they feel so natural! I highly recommend Dr. Clayton!
Ordinarily, we do not use drains for liposuction surgery. This would include the back or any other area you have reduced. The tissues are capable of absorbing any fluid present after the surgery. It always helps to use an elastic garment for compression on the area operated after your surgery. This also reduces the amount of bleeding after surgery and is standard protocol with modern liposuction. We used to use drains when I first started doing liposuction 37 years ago, but I haven't used a drain on lipo patients in over 30 years. Of course, if the liposuction is combined with other procedures such as a tummy tuck, then drains are usually used for the abdomen. But isolated areas of liposuction do not require drains. Hope this information is helpful. David N Clayton, MD, FACS
Your best option would depend on a few factors. Are the implants over or under the muscles? Are the breasts soft, or is one or both getting firm? Has the shape changed over time, or have they always looked this way since your implant surgery? If the implants are under the muscles, does the motion in the breasts when you flex the muscles bother you? Your options would include: 1. Take the implants out from under the muscles and put them on top. This tends to fill out the lower pole very nicely, and you may not require a lift. 2. A breast lift would help get rid of the sagginess in the lower pole and would raise the position of the nipples (although the nipples themselves don't look terribly low based on the photos you sent). A breast lift leaves scars around the areolae and down the center of the breasts and sometimes in the fold under the breasts. Hope that information helps. All the Best! The answer to your question depends on a few factors. How many areas were treated? What volume was extracted? In general, it should be OK to travel, but the risk of blood clots from your surgery still isn't gone away after only 3 weeks. So, you need to rotate your ankles while sitting, and try to stand up and walk up and down the isles as often as possible. You should keep all the scars out of any direct sun exposure for at least 4 months after your surgery. Those little scars cannot defend themselves from the strong UV light of the sun. The risk of seroma formation at this point should be minimal. As long as you are comfortable out of your compression garment, you should be fine in that regard. I have been doing liposuction for 37 years. 90% of good health care is common sense. Since some of the operated areas are still numb, avoid prolonged periods in the sun since you could get burned and not realize it. Don't expect to be as fully active as you normally would be on a fun trip like that. You won't have all your energy back for a few more weeks. All the Best! As others have said, the problem seems to be the irregularity of the fat distribution under the skin, and not a laxity of skin. The solution is to change the way the fat is distributed through either liposhifting, or a refined liposuction with very small cannulas together with transfer of some of the excess fat into the areas of depression. This is a relatively complex problem and the surgery to make it better may take more time than a simple one-area liposuction. Also, because not all the transferred fat may survive the process, it is possible that more than one operation would be needed to give you the optimal outcome. Consultations are free at my office. As the first doctor in Utah to do liposuction, our experience with this operation is second to none.
What is your goal? Liposuction is designed to change the way body fat is proportioned, and the effect is permanent. If the goal is to make a nearly perfect body ABSOLUTELY perfect, you may be disappointed by the outcome since no surgeon can guarantee a perfect outcome. Careful and precise liposuction often produces results that are extremely good and patient satisfaction rates are high. But your expectation going into the surgery will largely determine how satisfied you are with the result. A detailed in-person evaluation is critical. Your surgeon should be experienced and certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Your surgeon should also be open and honest about what can and what cannot be achieved by the technique. Go with the surgeon who gives you an honest assessment, not the guy with the biggest advertising budget.
