What treatment will work on crepey forearm skin? (Photo)

Profhilo, a unique injectable hyaluronic acid-based bioremodeling agent, works well for improving crepey skin. I have used it personally for treating crepey upper arms, decolletage, chest and abdominal regions with gratifying results. The addition of hyaluronic acid skin boosters can further lead to stretching and smoothing. Unfortunately Profhilo is still not yet available in the U.S., but hopefully will be in the next couple of years. Skin boosters, per se, are also not yet officially available, although Restylane Silk is essentially the same as Restylane Skinboosters. In the U.S. I would use double layering of the skin boosters to achieve the desired effects, and in my Israel satellite facility, I would use Profhilo as the foundation, followed by Viscoderm Hydroboosters. 

Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

Fraxel and/or CO2 are best for resurfacing, but Erbium is a good alternative. I always combine lasers with microneedling/PRP for more robust outcomes. For skin tightening, I recommend a combination of Ultherapy with RF treatments and Sculptra for skin tightening. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

This is a very good question. Skin rejuvenation can be done with a number of different procedures, including chemical peels, RF micro-needling, fractional lasers, and some kind of fillers such as Sculptra or Radiesse. The main goal is to stimulate collagen production in the lower part of the skin, called the dermis.
Personally, I'd recommend treatment with a fractional CO2-laser. This is a very powerful laser which are excellent for skin rejuvenation and tightening. This procedure will also thicken the skin and make it less vulnerable to small bumps.
