Can CO2 laser permanently remove white stretch marks on medium skin tone?

Would CO2 laser permanently fade white stretch marks from a medium skin tone? Is this procedure done only once or does it need multiple treatments? After the procedure is done are maintenance treatments required to maintain the results?

Hello IG.  We are very sorry but if the stretch marks are whiter or lighter than the surrounding skin and they are also flat, then lasers cannot help.  White stretch marks contain less melanin than the surrounding skin so the only way for them to darken is for there to be more melanin.  Since lasers cannot add melanin, there aren't any laser  options.  If the stretch marks are indented or textured at all, then perhaps laser resurfacing may be an option.  Best of luck.

stretch marks that are white are typically no responsive to most lasers, peels, microneedling or microneedling RF. I suggest you see an expert, co2 likely should be avoided.
