Can CO2 laser damage eyebrow hairs?

I have had fully ablative CO2 laser done 4 days ago. I noticed some eyebrow hairs are coming out now on the border of the laser. Should I be worried? will they grow out? They are very thin now. What should I do to save them?

Thank you for your question! It is possible for the laser to burn the hair but it will grow back. CO2 lasers do not penetrate deep enough to actually damage the follicle.  We wish you the best!

Yes, your eyebrow hairs will eventually grow back as the laser does not effect the actual hair follicles. PRP and progesterone may help regrow hair in this area. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

It is possible for a CO2 laser treatment to burn hair in a treated area, but the laser generally would not penetrate deep enough to destroy hair follicles, so any hair loss should be temporary.
