Does every rhinoplasty patient get packing put in their nose after surgery?

The short answer to your question is no, not everyone gets packing after surgery but it is very surgeon dependent. In my practice, I do tend to use packing in anyone that gets a nasal procedure. If you are really concerned about this you should talk to your surgeon, but overall I think that nasal packing is well tolerated so you shouldn’t worry. 

Hello! Every surgeon has their own preference with regards to packing. Personally I use a small amout of dissolvable packing, which does not have to be removed. There are options, so be sure to discuss with your surgeon if it is a concern to you. Good luck!
