It’s been six month since my primary rhinoplasty. Since then i’ve developed two bumps on my nose, which my surgeon wants to file at 8 months, under local anesthesia and sedation. Is this advisable? Or should I wait the full 12 months?

Answer: Nasal bossa The ideal time to correct any persisting deformities after rhinoplasty is AFTER all swelling and healing are complete. This is usually after at least ONE year. Some deformities may even spontaneously resolve WITHOUT additional surgery.

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty Many thanks for your question. Ideally you’d be best to wait longer for revision surgery - up to around a year. You still have a degree of swelling apparent. A general anaesthetic would be more appropriate also for the revision surgery.Good luck with your treatment.
